KILLADELPHIA: 4 Dead Since U Went 2 Bed

skeleton-running.gifPolice are investigating an attempted robbery that turned fatal this morning at a recyling company in Germantown. Police said a gunman, who posed as a customer to get inside the facility, confronted employees in a garage at Geppert Recycling in the 4500 block of Wayne Avenue. Lt. Frank Vanore, a police spokesman, said that two workers were armed and that a shootout ensued. The gunman, who appeared to be in his 20s, was pronounced dead shortly after the 9:30 a.m. incident. skeleton-running.gifAt about 11:35 last night, a man was fatally shot in Olney, police said. The homicide, which took place in the 300 block of West Somerville Street, was the third since yesterday afternoon. Owen Mitchell, 23, was taken to Einstein Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 1:12 this morning. Police are seeking three men who fled on foot, then may have gotten into a minivan.

skeleton-running.gifShortly after 6:10 p.m., a 68-year-old man was stabbed in the chest at a halfway house in the 4400 block of Waln Street, East Frankford. He was pronounced dead a short time later. Police identified him this morning as Robert Kitchen, who lived at the same address. Another killing took place shortly after 3 p.m. on Lindley Avenue, near 13th Street, in Logan Police said Lance Hickson, 18, who was staying at the residence on Lindley, was found shot in the chest and pronounced dead at the scene by medics.
