KILLADELPHIA: Death On The 14th Hole

skeleton_running.gifINQUIRER: The body of a woman was found this morning on a Philadelphia city golf course, police said. A golfer discovered the corpse about 10:30 a.m. near the 14th hole of the Juniata Golf Course near Fisher’s Lane and Ramona Avenue, said Lt. Frank Vanore, spokesman for the Philadelphia police. Investigators have not determined the cause or manner of death, Vanore said.

skeleton_running.gifRELATED: A triple shooting in North Philadelphia overnight critically injured a 12-year-old boy, police said. Two male teenagers were also wounded after gunfire erupted shortly after 1 a.m. on the 1400 block of North Broad Street. The three victims were riding in a minivan when a blue Buick LaSabre pulled alongside. An occupant of the Buick opened fire, peppering the minivan with bullets. MORE

skeleton_running.gifDAILY NEWS: Four people were murdered over the weekend in the city. Here’s the rundown, according to police spokesman Sgt. Ray Evers:

Sunday* 3:15 a.m.: Karimah Bollard, 32, was stabbed repeatedly inside her residence on 16th Street near Cecil B. Moore Avenue, in North Philadelphia.

Police took Bollard to Temple University Hospital, where she was pronounced dead at 4:28 a.m. Police arrested Bollard’s boyfriend, Solomon Carter, 28, and charged him with murder and related offenses.

* 12:01 a.m. : Timothy Mitchell, 21, was shot while sitting on the front porch of his Overbrook home on 61st Street near Oxford. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

* 11:15 a.m.: A 35-year-old woman was found in a North Philadelphia back yard on Goodman Street near 11th with a gunshot wound to her head. * 1:15 p.m.: GilbertoAlvarez, 37, was shot once in the back on A Street near Wyoming Avenue, in Feltonville. He was pronounced dead at 1:35 p.m. at the scene.
