KILLADELPHIA: Death In The Afternoon

skeleton_running.gifINQUIRER: A Philadelphia man was shot dead yesterday afternoon on a street in the city’s Kensington section, police said. Keith Bolden, 31, was lying on the 800 block of Thayer Street with a gunshot wound to the chest when police found him about 2:30 p.m. Emergency crews took Bolden, of the 5100 block of Saul Street, to Temple University Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 4:35 p.m., a police spokeswoman said. Investigators have no motive or suspect in the slaying. MORE

 

skeleton_running.gifINQUIRER: Two men found dead yesterday in an apartment above a North Philadelphia car stereo store had been bound with duct tape before they were each shot in the head execution-style, police said. One of the victims, Kenneth Lockwood, 47, lived in the apartment above 5th Street Car Stereo, at 2951 N. Fifth Street, police confirmed. The second man, who is Hispanic and in his 30s, remained unidentified this morning.

 

skeleton_running.gifThe shop sold more than stereos. According to authorities, the building served as the retail outlet for a nationwide drug paraphernalia distribution network. Lockwood was one of four men arrested in an October drug raid on the property, according to court documents. Law enforcement agents seized large quantities of materials used by drug dealers to dilute cocaine and heroin at the Fifth Street store and several related locations. MORE
