INQUIRER: Quietly in a Norristown courtroom yesterday, Myra Morton admitted for the first time that she shot her handyman-turned-millionaire husband in his sleep. Jereleigh “Seddik” Morton, 47, died in his Whitpain Township mansion with two bullets in his face Aug. 5, the morning he was to fly to Morocco and into the arms of Zahra Toural, the 35-year-old other wife he had met online and planned to impregnate. Myra Morton, 47 at the time, could no longer bear children. In 27 years of marriage she had gone from being a handyman’s wife to a millionairess scorned, and she now faces decades in prison for her soft-spoken admission of guilt to third-degree murder. The plea reversed her previous claims to investigators that her husband had been slain by an intruder. No explanation for her changed story came in yesterday morning’s court appearance. MORE

ALLAH ALMIGHTY: “O ye who believe! the law of equality is prescribed to you in cases of murder: the free for the free, the slave for the slave, the woman for the woman. But if any remission is made by the brother of the slain, then grant any reasonable demand, and compensate him with handsome gratitude, this is a concession and a Mercy from your Lord. After this whoever exceeds the limits shall be in grave penalty. (The Noble Quran, 2:178)“
