SANTA’S LIL’ HELPER MEETS PHAWKER: Electric Factory, December 16, 2006
THE CONTEXT: So we are standing at the back of the Electric Factory Saturday night waiting for the dreadful Killers concert to put itself out of its misery when up walks Peter Pan, Santa Claus and his Lil’ Helper, who are, it becomes immediately apparent, more than full of holiday cheer — the beer spilled down Santa’s shakes-like-a-bowl-of-jelly belly was the first of many clues. We ask if we can take their picture and when they ask what for we hand them our business card and Santa proceeds to stuff it down the bodice of his Lil Helper, presumably for safe-keeping.
