EARLY WORD: Mega Koechner

David Koechner is in theaters, on television, online, in your dreams and soon-to-be on-stage at The Trocadero Saturday, January 11th, 2014 as part of a nine city comedy tour. The veteran actor, improviser and comic – best known for his role as Champ Kind in “Anchorman” and “Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues” – is bringing his unique style of stand-up to Philadelphia on Saturday, January 11. The comedy tour is titled “David Koechner: Together Again” because Koechner brings to his shows not just jokes and storytelling, but a whole lineup of unique characters that he’s developed over the years. Personalities include Gerald “T-Bones” Tibbons, a rangy carny who can match wits with senators or hobos; Roy, an obese gay man just looking for love; and Jokey, a highly impulsive jokester who thinks he’s the funniest guy at the office… or a funeral. In advance of the show, fans can see all of Koechner’s characters on his YouTube channel, Full On Koechner (www.youtube.com/davidkoechner). While comedy lovers nationwide can see Koechner on the big screen this winter in “Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues,” only a select few thousand – primarily in frigid climates that need laugher for warmth – have the chance to catch him live. In addition to Philadelphia, “David Koechner: Together Again” will visit Boston, Portland, Seattle, San Francisco, Milwaukee, Minneapolis, New York and Washington D.C.  Tickets for Koechner’s show at The Trocadero go on sale Friday, September 20 at Noon and can be purchased online at www.ticketfly.com.
