Is casual sex a good thing? Hooking up is a term used to describe casual sexual encounters that don’t involve a long-term commitment. Young adults say hooking up “friends with benefits” is popular and accepted. In 2005, Cooder began exploring a disappearing American way of life with Chavez Ravine, and he continues his examination in the forthcoming album, My Name is Buddy. Through a cast of metaphorical animals including Lefty the Mouse and Reverend Tom Toad, Cooder’s dustbowl-inspired folk and blues songs rediscover the “working man.”
