HOUSTON – A 10-year-old boy was apparently mimicking Saddam Hussein’s execution when he hanged himself from a bunk bed, police and family members said. Sergio Pelico was found dead Sunday in his apartment bedroom after watching a news report on the execution of the former Iraqi leader, said Webster Police Lt. Tom Claunch. “Our gut reaction is that he was experimenting,” Claunch said after officials spoke with family members. An autopsy of the fifth-grader’s body was pending. Julio Gustavo, Sergio’s uncle, described the boy as happy and curious. He said Sergio had watched TV news with another uncle on Saturday and asked the uncle about Saddam’s death.
And then there’s this from 6 ABC:
Jackass 2 begins with a disclaimer warning viewers not to attempt any of the stunts they’re about to see. Then, actor Bam Magera and his friends run down a suburban street pursued by bulls and Magera jumps out a window to get away. So, just like Magera, Willison and his friend jumped out the front windows of the house a few times. Willison then jumped out the back window, feet first. He became caught in cable wires, flipped over and landed on his head. “I can’t remember,” said Costa, when we asked him if he jumped out of the window. His friend’s mom, Patricia Potoozny, came home and found the 11-year-old nearly unconscious, bleeding on the pavement behind her house. “I flipped. I was going crazy,” she said. Our check of the website youtube.com turned up nearly two dozen videos of kids jumping out windows and videotaping it.
